We are looking for a Digital Marketing Lead who is ready to take ownership. You are likely a Senior Specialist or “2nd in Command” currently who loves the hustle of agency life but is ready to step out of the shadow and build something of your own.

We need someone who is still comfortable “on the tools” (executing high-level campaigns) but is equally keen to mentor juniors, refine our processes, and eventually grow a team of specialists around them.

The Role

This position is the perfect bridge between execution and leadership. You will work with our SME clients to drive exceptional results across SEO, Google Ads, and social media while simultaneously acting as a strategic lead for the department.

This isn’t a role where you just sit back and delegate. You will lead from the front, setting the standard for efficiency and organisation, while helping us shape the future of the agency’s digital offering.

You’ll be joining an experienced and welcoming web design and conversion optimisation team who work together to share knowledge, learn from each other, and deliver exceptional results.

Key Details

  • Salary of $80,000 – $100,000 + Super (based on experience)
  • Open to Brisbane-based candidates only
  • Hybrid and flexible work hours available to work from home
  • A “Player-Coach” role: 50% strategy, 50% execution

A Day In The Life

Your typical week will be a mix of high-level strategy and hands-on execution:

  • Overseeing the holistic digital strategy for our marketing accounts (primarily SEO & Google Ads)
  • Managing Google Ads and SEO campaigns and strategy for high-tier clients
  • Providing guidance and technical support to junior team members and reviewing their work
  • Identifying opportunities to scale client accounts and improve agency retention
  • Refining our onboarding and reporting workflows to make the team more efficient
  • Diving into data to provide commercial insights (ROI/ROAS) rather than just vanilla metrics
  • Keeping the agency up-to-date with the latest algorithm changes and digital trends

About You

  • 2-3+ years of specific Agency experience is essential. You understand the pace, the tracking, and how to manage client expectations.
  • You might be a Senior Specialist right now, looking for that first official leadership title.
  • You are a true all-rounder. You can comfortably jump from Semrush keyword research to setting up conversion tracking in GTM or optimising a Google Ads campaign.
  • You understand that marketing is about generating profit for clients, not just clicks.
  • You are a “people person” who can build trust with business owners and explain technical concepts in plain English.
  • You are dependable and ready to share your knowledge to lift the standard of our whole team.
